Understanding AEO
What is Answer Engine Optimization?
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the practice of optimizing your digital presence so that AI-powered answer engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Copilot — cite and recommend your business when users ask relevant questions. It is the AI-era equivalent of SEO.
How is AEO different from SEO?
SEO optimizes for Google's ranking algorithm using keywords, backlinks, page speed, and technical signals. AEO optimizes for how AI language models understand, trust, and reference your business. The signals are fundamentally different: entity clarity, Q&A content structure, schema markup, topical authority depth, and third-party corroboration. Your SEO does not automatically transfer to AI search.
Why does AEO matter for my business?
Over 3 billion AI-assisted searches happen every day. When someone asks ChatGPT which accounting software to use, which lawyer to hire, or which restaurant is best in their city — AI gives a specific answer. Results and timelines
How long before I see results?
Most clients see their first AI citations within 4–8 weeks of content restructuring. AI engines crawl and update their knowledge more frequently than many people realize. The audit report you receive on day one shows your baseline — monthly reports track the climb from there.
How do you prove the results?
We run the same set of AI queries in your category each month and document the results with screenshots from actual ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini responses. You see your business name appearing in real AI recommendations. No abstract metrics — actual screenshots of AI recommending you.
What if I don't see results after the first month?
AEO results compound over time. Month 1 establishes the foundation. Month 2–3 typically show initial citation appearances. Full citation authority usually develops over 3–6 months of consistent optimization. If we are 8 weeks in with no movement at all, we dig into the specific barriers and adjust our approach.
Working with Wild AEO
Do I need to rebuild my website?
No. We work with your existing website. Our content restructure involves rewriting and adding content to your current site — not rebuilding from scratch. We work within your CMS, whether that is WordPress, Webflow, Framer, or custom code.
What do you need from me to get started?
For the free audit: your business name, website URL, and your primary business category. That is it. For the full engagement, we'll need brief access to your website CMS to implement the restructured content and schema markup, or you can implement our specifications yourself.
How do you handle businesses in competitive categories?
Competitive categories are actually where AEO has the highest impact. Most businesses in those categories have not optimized for AI search at all. The first mover in your category to build AI citation authority gains a significant and durable advantage.
Do you work with businesses outside Pakistan?
Yes. Wild AEO works with businesses globally. AI engines index the entire web without geographic limitation. Your location does not restrict your AEO opportunity — only your optimization effort does.
Pricing and contracts
Is there a contract for the retainer?
No. The monthly retainer is month-to-month. Cancel with 30 days notice. We do not believe in locking clients in — we keep them by delivering results.
Can I do the audit myself and then upgrade?
Yes. The $297 audit can be applied as a credit toward the $797 content restructure project. Clients who audit first and then move to the restructure pay $500 for the project (not $797).
Do you offer refunds?
The audit includes a 30-minute strategy session and a complete visibility report. Because this is a bespoke, research-intensive deliverable, we do not offer refunds after the report is delivered. If you are unhappy with the quality or completeness of the report, we will make it right.
